In response to member suggestions, we are starting a new programme of Saturday workshops beginning on March 17 2012. If the first workshop is successful, watch for more in the coming months. The first workshop features a member of the Victoria Genealogical Society, Gerry Poulton who will be showing participants how to get more out of Ancestry.com. Gerry has successfully presented this workshop to Victoria members several times. For more information click the Upcoming Events link to the left. Due to demand an afternoon session has been added.

Note the changed date and place for our Annual General Meeting. It will take place at Knox United Church in Parksville on February 15th at 7 p.m.

A transcription of the Memorial Roll of St. Columba's Presbyterian Church, Parksville has been added to the Canadian Headstones site. It covers those who died after 1989 and are memorialised with a plaque. There are 101 names.
